Since day one, our mission has been to challenge the status quo in Marbella by offering a smarter, more personal, and more creative approach to property. What began as a bold idea between two founders has grown into a full-scale real estate ecosystem with international reach, in-house creativity, and a clear commitment to excellence. This is the story of how we built Homerun Brokers - and how we’re continuing to shape the future of luxury real estate on the Mediterranean.
From Sweden to Marbella: The Birth of Homerun Brokers
Homerun Brokers was founded in 2020 by Eric Ebbing and Rickard Delér, two Swedish entrepreneurs who relocated to Marbella in pursuit of a better quality of life, and quickly saw an opportunity to reshape the local real estate landscape. Both founders brought a strong entrepreneurial background in hospitality, property, and brand building.
Eric had a long-standing career working in property development and renovation, as well as many years in the hospitality industry, where he cultivated an extensive network and a deep understanding of client service and relationship-driven business. He had a natural talent for connecting people and identifying market opportunities, which positioned him well within Marbella’s dynamic real estate scene. Prior to moving to Spain, Eric also founded Big Slap, one of Sweden’s largest and most successful music festivals, known for its bold vision, large-scale production, and international reach.
Rickard, meanwhile, was a well-known businessman and digital personality, widely recognised alongside his daughter Janni Delér, one of Sweden’s top fashion influencers, and her husband at the time Jon Olsson, a former professional skier and lifestyle creator.

Their complementary strengths - Eric’s expansive network and relationship-driven business style, and Rickard’s global visibility and influence made them the perfect team to launch something fresh and innovative in Marbella. What began as sourcing and flipping smart renovation projects soon revealed that the real estate system in Marbella lacked a tailored, client-first experience. So they set out to change that and build an agency that would set new standards.
“The name Homerun came to me during lockdown. With my background in sports as a former hockey player, I wanted to create something that felt like a team driven, connected, and committed to reaching goals together. Homerun just made sense. In baseball, you pass through all the bases, first, second, third, before reaching home, and each base symbolizes a critical step in a real estate transaction: initial contact, viewings, negotiations and completion. It’s a process that requires strategy, collaboration, and timing, just like in sports. The name also includes the word home, which is exactly what we sell, and run, which reflects the fast-paced, high-energy nature of real estate. Our team works tirelessly to guide every client around all the bases and across the finish line, always aiming for that collective homerun.”

The timing, as it turned out, couldn’t have been better. Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, a clear shift began to take shape: more and more Scandinavians and Northern Europeans were rethinking their lifestyle priorities, seeking sun, space, flexibility, and a better quality of life. They saw this trend emerging early and recognised Marbella’s potential not just as a second-home destination, but as a lifestyle worth investing in.
From the beginning, Homerun Brokers was built with a broader vision in mind. We didn’t just want to sell homes, we wanted to showcase a way of living. Our strategy focused on content and storytelling, using lifestyle-driven media to highlight the unique energy, freedom, and beauty Marbella offers. This approach quickly gained traction, setting us apart and leading to high-profile collaborations, events, and brand activations that elevated both our visibility and the overall perception of real estate in the region.

While Rickard later chose to move abroad and has since stepped away from the company, Eric continues to lead Homerun Brokers as CEO, guiding the business through its rapid growth and expansion with his original vision at the core.
A 360° Real Estate Ecosystem
What began as a boutique real estate agency with a clear focus on sales soon evolved into something much bigger. As Homerun Brokers grew, so did the needs of our clients—and with them, our vision. It became clear that to truly deliver the level of service and lifestyle we believed in, we needed to build something more than a traditional agency. We needed to create a complete, interconnected ecosystem.
At the core of this ecosystem has always been our sales division—founded on deep market knowledge, strategic execution, and a client-first mindset. From the beginning, we worked with both buyers and sellers, helping clients find their ideal homes while also taking on carefully selected properties for exclusive sale. But unlike many agencies, we chose not to limit ourselves to our own listings. Instead, we built strong local networks and industry relationships, giving our clients access to the full market—both on and off-market.
Our multilingual team specialises in high-end properties across Marbella and Mallorca, offering tailored guidance and a seamless, transparent experience from first meeting to final signature. Each sales strategy is custom-built and supported by our in-house creative team, always grounded in trust, discretion, and long-term relationships.
As we continued to grow, two new divisions emerged—organically and intentionally. First came Homerun Rentals, designed for second-home owners who wanted to generate income while away. We applied the same level of professionalism and care to rental management that we had built our reputation on in sales.

Then came Homerun Developments, created to meet the needs of investors seeking end-to-end renovation or development solutions. Our sales team identifies high-potential opportunities, which are then managed by our in-house project managers, architects, and interior designers. Once completed, the properties often return to the market through our sales division, frequently purchased by clients seeking passive rental income, which then feeds back into our Rentals offering.
Over time, this interconnected structure became our strength. What started as a sales-driven agency evolved into a full-circle real estate ecosystem, designed to support our clients at every stage of their property journey.
Strategic Location - A Key To Success
Our very first office, which we still proudly operate today, is located in the iconic tower of Los Naranjos Golf Club in Nueva Andalucía. This was no coincidence - it was a strategic decision that reflected our belief in leading by example. Nueva Andalucía was our primary area of operation, and by placing our roots there, we positioned ourselves at the core of the action. But besides being a golf club, Los Naranjos is a prestigious social hub where our agents interact daily with golfers, international travellers, and professionals from all walks of life.

How can we promise to find the perfect home for our clients if we can’t find the right home for ourselves? That’s why this first office meant so much more than just a place to work - it was our first homerun. A bold move that turned heads, made us visible, and left a lasting impression on everyone who walked through its doors. It laid the foundation for our brand, culture, and reputation as a company that chooses its locations - and its commitments - strategically and with purpose.
As the company grew, we later established our head office in the heart of Marbella’s Golden Mile, just minutes from the renowned Marbella Club Resort. This location reflects the evolution of Homerun Brokers—rooted in local insight, yet always aiming higher, with visibility, prestige, and accessibility at the forefront of everything we do.
Collaboration: The Secret to Our Growth
A large part of our rapid growth can be attributed to our willingness to collaborate with other agencies. In Marbella, most real estate transactions involve two agencies, one representing the seller and one representing the buyer. Rather than trying to take the entire deal for ourselves, we’ve chosen to share the cake.
Our deep understanding of marketing feeds directly into this collaborative mindset. We know that maximum exposure is key to driving interest and achieving the best results for our clients, and that means working with others, not against them. Just as we craft every marketing campaign to reach the right audience with the right message, we recognize that empowering other agents ultimately benefits everyone involved.
To make collaboration easy and effective, we’ve developed agent-specific tools that help other professionals pitch our listings with confidence. One example is our unbranded website Moving Marbella, featuring all of our exclusive listings—allowing external agents to share these properties with their clients without the risk of being bypassed.

We also provide all of our marketing assets, including professional images and videos, so that other agencies can showcase our listings on their own websites and social media channels. This approach maximizes exposure for the properties we exclusively represent and makes it easier for agents to collaborate with us—resulting in faster sales and better outcomes for our clients.
Marketing Ahead of The Game
At Homerun Brokers, marketing is a core strength and a central part of our business philosophy. From the start, we set out to build more than a real estate agency — we built a brand. One that stands for quality, creativity, and consistency across every touchpoint.
Every property we represent receives a tailored marketing campaign. We treat each listing as a brand in itself — elevated through thoughtful storytelling, high-quality visuals, and strategic distribution. Our in-house creative team ensures every detail aligns with the home’s character and market positioning.
We take pride in doing things differently. Rather than relying on generic templates, we develop original campaigns that are visually distinctive and strategically driven. This includes professional photography, film-quality video, and copy that communicates value without exaggeration.
Our presence spans digital and traditional channels. We’re active across major platforms — Instagram, YouTube, property portals — and we reinforce that reach through print advertising, billboards, and magazine placements. The goal is consistent: targeted, high-impact visibility.
What makes our marketing effective is its authenticity. Our team is involved in content creation, ensuring that the campaigns reflect not only the homes we represent but also the people behind the brand. This personal involvement helps build trust and strengthens the Homerun identity.

Branding has always been a deliberate part of our growth. Motivational phrases like “Move to what moves you”, “Your home, our run”, and “Our field, your trust” are woven into our communications. They serve as clear expressions of what we stand for — not slogans, but statements of intent.
We also publish our own in-house magazine, Your CompleteMarbella Guide — an annual publication combining local insight, curated property highlights, and lifestyle content. To further build visibility and connections, we host branded events and activations — from high-end open houses to our annual padel tournament and private events in collaboration with brands like Range Rover and C. de Salamanca. What started with just 5 people in 2020 is now a team of over 40 professionals. We are proud of our international culture, speaking over 15 different languages and reflecting the diversity of the clients we serve.
Our operations include a 7-person in-house marketing team, 3 dedicated administration professionals, a dynamic sales force of over 15 agents, a growing developments division with 6 specialists driving forward our project portfolio, and a 5-person rental team delivering exceptional short- and long-term rental experiences. Furthermore, the Mallorca office is very connected to the headquarters office in Marbella in terms of operations; Mallorca has its own team of 4 international sales experts. This blend of expertise, passion, and multicultural understanding is the heartbeat of our success.

Expanding Across Spain: Mallorca, Málaga, and Sotogrande
As demand for lifestyle-led real estate continues to rise, Homerun Brokers is strategically expanding its footprint beyond Marbella. We’ve launched dedicated sales efforts in Málaga city, where several new exclusive developments are now under our representation. With Málaga rapidly emerging as a tech and innovation hub, we see tremendous potential for long-term growth and investment.
Simultaneously, we are extending our reach to Sotogrande, a more tranquil yet highly exclusive enclave known for its elite polo scene and affluent international community, a perfect fit for our high-net-worth clientele seeking privacy and prestige. All these locations are seamlessly managed from our Marbella headquarters, allowing us to confidently say that we cover Marbella and its most promising surroundings.

Additionally, we now operate a fully established office in Palma de Mallorca, where we handle both property sales and high-end holiday rentals, solidifying our presence in the Balearics and broadening our appeal to international buyers seeking luxury across Spain’s top destinations.
Milestones That Define Who We Are
These efforts across sales, marketing, and expansion have led to a number of standout moments and recognitions that continue to shape the Homerun Brokers story.
In 2022, Homerun Brokers began making its mark on a global stage with the filming of a Netflix pilot. The following year, a full Netflix series was recorded, elevating our international profile and laying the foundation for a significant media presence.
Then in 2024, we took a major step forward by moving into our new flagship office on Marbella’s Golden Mile - designed in partnership with Norwegian luxury interior brand Slettvoll. Widely considered one of the most impressive office spaces in Marbella, it became our proud new Home Base. That same year, we opened our Palma de Mallorca office in the heart of Old Town.

Expanding to our head office on the Golden Mile was not just a practical move to accommodate our growing team—it was a strategic continuation of our core belief in the value of location. Just as we did in 2020 with our first office in Los Naranjos, we chose a key address that reflects who we are and who we serve. Positioned directly across from the iconic Marbella Club Hotel, our Golden Mile office places us at the heart of one of the city’s most prestigious and high-traffic areas.
With two thoughtfully placed offices—one in Nueva Andalucía and one on the Golden Mile—we now operate from both of Marbella’s most influential zones. This allows us to serve our clients across the city with efficiency, presence, and the kind of access that only comes from being exactly where it matters most.
Just as with our Golden Mile headquarters, our decision to open a second office in Palma de Mallorca was rooted in intention, not just expansion. We didn’t just want an office in Mallorca—we wanted the office in the location. That’s why we chose the heart of Palma’s Old Town, a historic and vibrant area that reflects the lifestyle, architecture, and quality our brand stands for.
This prime location fortifies our commitment to being accessible and present in the most desirable areas—not just for prestige, but to better serve our clients. With our offices strategically placed in Marbella and Palma’s most iconic districts, we’ve created a strong, visible foundation for long-term relationships, smooth operations, and direct community engagement in both markets.
To mark these milestones, we hosted a grand office opening party at our Marbella headquarters, celebrating our 4-year anniversary with 300 selected guests, collaborators, and industry leaders from our growing community.
Later that year, on the evening of October 1st, we hosted a second major event - our Netflix Premiere Party - coinciding with the global launch of our series that morning. It was an evening of glamour, connection, and celebration of our team's achievements on an international scale.
2024 also saw the launch of new traditions and strategic partnerships, including our annual padel tournament at NAC - which grows in scale and excitement with each passing year - and the initiation of an exclusive collaboration with C. de Salamanca, Marbella’s leading luxury car dealership for brands like Ferrari, Bentley, and Land Rover.
In 2025, we reached a defining creative and community milestone with the release of Your Complete Marbella Guide 005, our fifth edition celebrating the Marbella lifestyle. The cover was a bold reimagining of Slim Aarons’ iconic 1967 photograph "El Venero," shot at our exclusive listing, Villa La Toca, in collaboration with local fashion brand Homies Marbella. This ambitious project had been years in the making by our marketing team - honouring an image that has long defined the spirit of Marbella, now retold with a modern twist. The release of Guide 005 also symbolised five years of sharing the Marbella lifestyle through a non-profit editorial initiative that gives back to our community.

2025 also marked the completion of Villa Fortuna, the first full-scale luxury villa developed entirely in-house after a series of successful high-end apartment, penthouse, and townhouse renovations. Villa Fortuna set a new benchmark for our design and development capabilities and paved the way for a broader rollout of premium villa projects. With the launch of Baseline Construction, our dedicated in-house building company, we now offer a fully integrated real estate ecosystem - from construction and architecture to design, sales, and rentals - ensuring quality, consistency, and a seamless client experience across every phase.
